February 22, 2010 was a banner day!

I got a call from my son, Adam, telling me that he and his wife were on the way to the hospital after their regular doctor visit.  Apparently the doctor said, “Let’s go now.”

So after nine months of watching a little boy and girl grow to ready size, February 22 was the day.

They were born late in the afternoon and everything was flawless.  There was some talk that the babies might have to spend some time in NICU – not unusual for twins that are so tiny.  But these two weighed in around five pounds each.  When I got to the hospital, they were in the room with the family being passed around like footballs.  I’m sure the little newborn brains were thinking, “What the heck is going on????  Just a little while ago, I was warm and cozy!  Where am I?”

But barely a peep was heard.  Will did let the nurse know about it when she poured water on him for his bath.  I let Adam and know that those cute little, barely audible sounds would get louder in short order.  Wait for it.

Annabelle is my first granddaughter.  Neal and Lindsay have three boys – Sam, Gabe and Luke.  Now William is born to Adam and Laura along with his sister, Annabelle.

We’re so thankful and joyful that all is well.  God has overwhelmed us . . . again.

Blessings.

Wayne

Congrats! I saw on your Twitter yesterday those cute babies! I said to my oldest, "Now, Wayne Watson will be singing Watercolored Ponies to his grandchildren." :)
Blessings Brother!

Hi Wayne, I'm listening to your music and just wanted to thank God for your songs. Currently on track is "Class of 95"! :-)
